Training provider overview
The University of Huddersfield has a long and proud tradition of vocational Higher Education. The higher and degree apprenticeships at Huddersfield were rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in October 2023. Huddersfield is in the top 10 in England for year-long work placements (sandwich degrees). Huddersfield was the Times Higher Education (THE) University of the Year in 2013, and THE Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2012. We are joint first in England for the proportion of professionally qualified teaching staff (HESA 2020). Huddersfield is rated triple gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
