Training provider overview

Marine Society and Sea Cadets is a government registered apprenticeship training provider approved to deliver maritime and marine leisure standards in England. In 2024 Marine Society was graded ‘good’ by Ofsted and is Matrix-accredited. Training is via blended learning including in person visits and online learning. Technical courses are delivered via UKSA, our subcontractor on the Isle of Wight. We recruit all year round with no minimum cohort size. We promote apprentice vacancies via our Sea Cadet network of 14,000 Cadets and 8,000 adult volunteers. Marine Society is a member of industry and membership bodies including; the Workboat Association, British Marine, Port Skills and Safety and UK Chamber of Shipping.
