About this provider

Appleby Training and Heritage Centre opened in 1996 and is located in Cumbria, in the Eden Valley. Until 2010 we restored heritage vehicles whilst providing local employment and training in traditional skills. For many years we provided a high quality service to many railway museums by converting and upgrading old carriages.

From 2010 we went on to provide vocational and academic qualifications to young people and adults in our community. In 2015 we commenced the provision of apprenticeships. We offer a unique and friendly learning experience, our classrooms are converted railway carriages with one of the engineering workshops being a former railway goods shed. Our team have over 15 years of industry experience in their chosen sectors.
