About this provider

League Football Education was established in 2004 by The English Football League and The Professional Footballers' Association to manage the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence programme.

Funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency, the European Social Fund and by football, LFE is responsible for over 1200 apprentices [aged 16-18 years-old] at 72 Football Clubs, is the largest provider of apprenticeships in elite sport.

We have a network of staff working across the country supporting our clubs to assist our apprentices throughout their two year development programme. LFE aims to help all apprentices achieve the full educational framework and to support apprentices moving into positive destinations at the end of the programme.
