The organisation is constantly innovating its portfolio in its core areas of rolling stock, rail automation and electrification, turnkey systems, and intelligent traffic systems.

The company operates from around 70 UK locations. These are spread from the south coast of England to the north of Scotland with a mixture of manufacturing sites, offices and depots and maintenance facilities. They include factories in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Chippenham and Poole which supply the domestic markets in road traffic management, railway signalling and train cab radio equipment as well as exporting globally.
