What apprentices will learn
  • identifying and assessing hazards
  • how to advise and train staff about health and safety practices
  • risk assessment methods
  • techniques for recording and investigating workplace accidents

Before taking their end-point assessment apprentices must have achieved:

  • level 2 English and maths (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4 or A* to C)
  • level 1 information communications technology (equivalent to GCSE grades 3 to 1 or D to G)
Professional registration

Apprentices who complete this apprenticeship will be able to apply for:

  • technical level membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
  • affiliate level membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment
