Set by employer. Some employers will expect candidates to have achieved a level 3 qualification (equivalent to A level, AS level, international Baccalaureate diploma, level 3 NVQ) or have relevant work experience.

  • solving problems based on technical evidence
  • how to do reliable research and testing
  • effective communication and presentation skills
Qualifications

Apprentices must have achieved level 2 English and maths (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4 or A* to C) before taking their end-point assessment.
